Golf vs. Tricare (Obama Chooses Golf)

It is absolutely criminal that the US government is spending 15 billion more than last year, but because they didn't get 85 billion more dollars in addition to the 15, the Obama administration is trying to punish the American people by cutting into military healthcare and White House tours.
If the situation were so dire that we needed to cut such necessities as healthcare for the military, I suggest we first cut funding from unnecessary expenditures such as Planned Parenthood, Obama's personal golfing outings and vacations, and the 1.5 million dollar federal study on obese lesbians.
This kind of reckless and disproportionate spending will be the downfall of the United States as we know it.

Who Stood with Rand Paul...and Who Didn't...

Here is the list of Senators who stood with Rand Paul in his stunning filibuster of the Senate last night.

Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Pat Toomey (R-Penn.), John Thune (R-S.D.), John Barrasso (R-Wy.), Tim Scott (R-S.C.), John Cornyn (R-Texas), Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.), and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.)

Here is the list of Senators who would rather have dinner with Obama than #StandWithRand.

Sens. John McCain (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Tom Coburn (R-OK), Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), Bob Corker (R-TN), John Hoeven (R-ND), Dan Coats (R-IN), Richard Burr (R-NC), and Mike Johanns (R-NE).

Let this be a reminder to voters when election time comes around about which politicians really care about the rights of the citizens...and who doesn't.

Sick and Twisted

I'd like to dare all of the sick and twisted people who are honoring Hugo Chavez right now to go live in Venezuela for a year and then tell me how wonderful he was (as soon as you've recovered).

An Awesome Story

Once upon a time there was a band called Whiteheart.  During their first four years, the band leaders struggled to find a lead singer.  One guy quit, another didn't work out, still another backslid, and so on.  They had started giving auditions again, when they found their tour bus driver singing and dancing to one of their songs up on stage.  His name was Rick Florian.

(Whiteheart's most famous albums were produced with Florian as the lead singer.)

Time for a Third Party?

The only time a third party has ever risen to power in the United States was when the Republican Party defeated the Whig Party and the Democratic-Republican Party with the election of Abraham Lincoln.  Why? Because both the Whig Party and Democratic-Republican Party endorsed some form of slavery, and only the Republican Party was against it.  When both political parties endorse the same behaviors, it is time for a third party.

There is No Middle Ground

Between these alternatives there is no middle ground. The constitution is either a superior paramount law, unchangeable by ordinary means, or it is on a level with ordinary legislative acts, and, like other acts, is alterable when the legislature shall please to alter it.

If the former part of the alternative be true, then a legislative act contrary to the constitution is not law: if the latter part be true, then written constitutions are absurd attempts, on the part of the people, to limit a power in its own nature illimitable.

Why Women Should NOT Be Allowed in Combat

Why should women not be allowed to serve in combat? 1. A 130lb woman cannot carry a 225lb wounded man off the battlefield. 2. The fact that a woman can be raped will be used by the enemy in order to manipulate/torture our forces. 3. It does not promote unit cohesion.  If the only reason that women desire to be in combat is to be promoted to higher levels in the military, then these reasons are selfish as they are putting their own desires above what is best for the military.

Warriorwoman91 to Hillary Clinton: What Difference Does It Make?

The Secretary of State asked what difference does it make as to whether the administration lied about what happened in Benghazi, so long as we bring whomever killed the four Americans there to justice? The difference, ma'am, is whether you and the administration are culpable for deliberately covering up the circumstances of Benghazi in order to benefit yourselves politically. The difference is whether you and the administration need to ultimately be brought to justice.

Abuses and Usurpations

"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

The Declaration of Independence vs. Progressivism

The modern definition of equality is incompatible with the Declaration’s definition because the Declaration states that “all men are created equal” meaning that they are all born with the same human rights that the government is required to respect.  The modern definition is that all men are not created equal and the government needs to step in and via redistribution, make them equal.

Obama's Desire: To Usurp the Constitution

Within the next few days (if not tomorrow) the president of the United States is going to try to usurp the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution with 19 executive orders.  Quite frankly, I don't care if he issues 200 executive orders; if they are unconstitutional, no one is required to follow them. The president has no right to take away legislative powers and give them to himself. Nor does the legislative branch have the right to give away their enumerated powers and give them to the executive branch.

Letter to Democrats that are Surprised that Their Taxes Went Up

Dear (insert name that voted for Obama),

You have no right to complain about how your income is less and your taxes are higher. I (and others) have tried to explain time and time again that a vote for Obama is a vote for higher taxes--the welfare state that you desire cannot sustain itself otherwise! However, you refused to listen and voted for him anyway. Basically, I'm trying to say in the nicest way possible: you made your bed, now sleep in it.

Respectfully yours, one ticked off Kelly.

My apologies to anyone that was made nervous by this post.

Was Hitler a Christian?

Christianity is often used as an excuse for bad behavior.  Look at how Nancy Pelosi calls upon her Catholic "faith" to justify forcing churches to provide contraception, when Catholic doctrine specifically teaches the exact opposite.  The popular belief is to call oneself a Christian and then define it as whatever pleases you or pushes your agenda in order to justify your actions.

Hitler called himself a Christian, despite Nazi philosophy being deeply rooted in the occult (Google swastika).

"I say: My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. .. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison."  -Hitler

Hitler's words are rebutted by Romans 1:16, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, first to the Jew then to the Gentile." However, this and other such statements lead some (especially those looking to do damage to Believers) to preach that Hitler was a Christian.  However, one cannot be a Christian simply by calling yourself a Christian, quoting the Bible, or talking about God.  Even Satan quoted the Bible (Matt 4), so by that logic are we to believe that he is a Christian too?

A Christian is defined as someone who follows Christ, meaning someone who has admitted that they are a sinner (Romans 3:23), believe Jesus died to pay for their penalty caused by sin (Romans 6:23), and confess and ask him to forgive you (Romans 10:9-10).  The result of this salvation and a deep desire behave as Christ did while on earth.  Any other addition of doctrine is antithetical to the Bible and not defined as true Christianity.

Holocaust Memorial: Berlin

When you look at the miracles of Jesus Christ, and the morbid results of Hitlers actions, it is obvious that he had no desire to live like Christ did.  Hitler viewed himself as his own god, and therefore was not a Christian.

My Run-In With A Liberal, and Talk About Oil

I recently got into a discussion on Facebook with a friend of mine from high school regarding the history of oil and gas prices.  He believes that "green" energy is the only way to become energy independent and that the U.S. is unfairly using more than it's share of the world's oil, citing the alleged fact that we produce 20% of the supply but use 80% of it.  This was my rather lengthy reply.

In 1973 the Nixon administration (yes a Republican) began over-regulating the production of oil in the U.S. making it necessary to increase foreign imports (up to 35% of U.S. consumption). In the same year, the U.S. sent military assistance to Israel who had been attacked by members of OPEC.  In retaliation OPEC placed an oil embargo on the U.S. and increased the price for other nations by 70%. Oil in the U.S. then had to be rationed to the people (you could only get gas at certain times, and never on Sundays).

Since then, more and more regulations have been put on U.S. production of oil starting with Carter's MEOW initiative and creation of the Department of Energy, making it harder and harder to drill for domestic oil and causing us to be more and more dependent on foreign oil. This is not, as some would have us believe, because we are "running out of oil." The U.S. is sitting on one of the largest oil reservoirs in the world, an estimated 2.3 trillion barrels (300 years) worth to be exact. It is current technology and excessive regulation that is preventing us from getting at it.

The 20% and 80% figures that the Obama used in his reelection speech are blatantly stretched considering that those figures only apply to current tapped reserves; they do not include the amount of oil that is not being drilled or used in the current economy. So yes the U.S. government is being selfish because we refuse to drill for our own oil and would rather drain the supplies of other nations instead.

Was America Founded a Christian Nation?

There are two ideologies regarding America’s religious heritage: 1. that it was founded on a Christian belief system, or 2. that it was founded on the separation of church and state.  The belief that America was founded as a Christian nation dates back to the Providential Religious philosophy, which states that America’s success was granted by God because it was founded in order to be the proverbial “city on a hill” to be an example of Christianity to the rest of the world.  Evidence used to support this theory is found in the Puritan’s quest from Britain in order to escape persecution from religious tyrants.  The Puritan’s desired the freedom to worship God in the way that they saw fit, and not the way that a king or a totalitarian religious leader told them to (similar to the modern day Catholic controversy).  This thesis does not speak for all people that came to America or the natives of the American continent, and therefore cannot be conclusive evidence that the United States was founded solely as a Christian nation.
The belief that America was founded on the belief in separation of church and state is based in part in the Providential Secular philosophy.  This view states that the Constitution was written in the heart of the Enlightenment period, where religion became less popular and “science” and “logic” replaced it as the socially acceptable school of thought.  The phrase “separation of church and state” is not actually mentioned in the Constitution, but was a phrase that Thomas Jefferson used in a letter to the Danbury Baptists to assure them that the new government would not interfere with their religious practices.  Many who subscribe to the separation of church and state view believe that this works both ways and that the church should not have anything to do with the government either.  History provides evidence to the contrary however, with the examples of churches run on a state level in colonial Massachusetts and Maryland.  These state funded churches were considered acceptable; it was the federal or nationally mandated churches that the American people wanted protection from.
It is difficult to take the small section of the colonial population (the Puritans) or the colonial equivalent to an email reply from one of the Founding Fathers and base an entire nation’s religious views on just that information.  However, I am more inclined to belief that America was founded as an essentially Christian nation, as the European founders that wrote the Constitution did not base their value system on Islam, Buddhism, Eastern mysticism, or any other religion besides Christianity.  The very words of the 1st Amendment, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” indicates that the founders desired to be free to practice religion, not be separated or protected from it.  56 men signed the Declaration of Independence, and 52 of them were indeed active members of their respective churches.  While not all of the colonists, natives, or even the founders themselves were Christians, the United States Constitution was in large part based on Christian principles and values which is why they are such a controversy today.

The Real Unemployment Rate

So for those of you that don't do research, the unemployment rate that the news gives us is called U3, which includes those people who are on unemployment.  This does not include those who have run out of unemployment or those who are working part time due to economic reasons.  The U6 version of the unemployment does cover this demographic.  Back when the U3 unemployment was at 9.0, U6 was at 16.2 http://ow.ly/8Rf8r. When U3 was at 8.6, U6 was at 15.6 http://ow.ly/8RfGx.  Now that the media is telling us that the U3 unemployment rate is 8.3 (conveniently during election time) we can assume that the real unemployment rate is in fact U6 15.3.

While the media will tell you that the drop in unemployment is due to an increase in jobs, this is only a half truth.  Many of the jobs that were once a part of the United States have now been outsourced to other countries (meaning they're not here anymore).  This decreases the size of the United States' economy and makes available jobs more scarce http://ow.ly/8RgRi.

Finally, let us not forget that the U3 unemployment rate was 7.8% when Obama took office (that's U6 14.1%).  While certain politicians and media (including Fox News) would like you to believe that the economy has gotten better, the facts prove that it is actually getting worse http://ow.ly/8RhCQ.

The Politically Correct 12 Days of Christmas

 via Joke-Archives

On the 12th day of the Eurocentrically imposed midwinter festival, my Significant Other in a consenting adult, monogamous relationship gave to me:
  • TWELVE males reclaiming their inner warrior through ritual drumming,
  • ELEVEN pipers piping (plus the 18-member pit orchestra made up of members in good standing of the Musicians Equity Union as called for in their union contract even though they will not be asked to play a note),
  • TEN melanin deprived testosterone-poisoned scions of the patriarchal ruling class system leaping,
  • NINE persons engaged in rhythmic self-expression,
  • EIGHT economically disadvantaged female persons stealing milk-products from enslaved Bovine-Americans,
  • SEVEN endangered swans swimming on federally protected wetlands,
  • SIX enslaved Fowl-Americans producing stolen non-human animal products,
  • FIVE golden symbols of culturally sanctioned enforced domestic incarceration, (NOTE: after members of the Animal Liberation Front threatened to throw red paint at my computer, the calling birds, French hens and partridge have been reintroduced to their native habitat. To avoid further Animal-American enslavement, the remaining gift package has been revised.)
  • FOUR hours of recorded whale songs
  • THREE deconstructionist poets
  • TWO Sierra Club calendars printed on recycled processed tree carcasses and...
  • ONE Spotted Owl activist chained to an old-growth pear tree.
Merry Christmas. Happy Chanukah. Good Kwanzaa. Blessed Yule. Happy Holidays!!!! (unless otherwise prohibited by law) * *Unless, of course, you are suffering from Seasonally Affected Disorder (SAD). If this be the case, please substitute this gratuitous call for celebration with suggestion that you have a thoroughly adequate day.
